40 Days of Prayer & Fasting 2025

CONSECRATION

Making sacred; dedication to the service and worship of God. Separated from a common use to a sacred use. Metaphorically meaning perfect, although not faultless, but bringing to a state of completion and fulfillment—renewing, completing, maturing, reaching the intended goal, and finishing a work of duty.

Suggested Guidelines

PRAY FIRST!

Drink one gallon of water daily, whiel fasting the body has more waste to get rid of. This is why it is important to consume no less than one gallon of water a day.

While Fasting, this schedule should be followed:

  • Morning

    • Drink 1 quart of water (over a 30 minute period)

  • Noon

    • Drink 1 quart of water (over a 30 minute period)

  • Evening

    • Drink 1 quart of water (between 5 to 6 pm)

The overweight person needs to consume an additional glass of water for every 25 pounds of excess weight. In addition, when the body is thirsty, water should be taken immediately. This drinking schedule brings the body’s fluids into balance, causing more fat to be used as fuel. It alleviates fluid retention, helps retain muscle tone, and causes a natural decrease in appetite. When the body’s fluids are balanced, the body does not require or crave food as much as when it is out of balance.

Plenty of cranberry juice should be consumed, as it helps flush the kidneys.

Fifty percent of all fruits and vegetables should be raw.

Suggested exercise program: Daily stretching and deep breathing. Walking is excellent—3 to 4 miles three times a week is recommended. Light toning, i.e., floor exercises and light weights. The workout program may vary depending on the individual's fitness level.

We do suggest an herbal program; consult your nutritionist.

Increase prayer time. Tithe at least two (2) hours and forty (40) minutes every day through prayer, studying, meditation, or simply being still. Limit, avoid, or even exclude TV, radio, and magazines. Abstain from fat, caffeine, sugar, cholesterol, dairy products, and meat. You may eat skinless chicken and fish. Limit or avoid excessive social telephone calls. Resist eating fast foods and reduce salt intake.

CHILDREN: NO FAST FOODS, NO VIDEO GAMES. Generate family unity. Families, sit down with your children.

As with any nutritional or exercise program, it is recommended that you consult your physician before beginning.
